As we approach the end of 2019, SCALA is gearing up to bring you more programmes and value-added services. Naturally, we would love to talk about them! Here are some workshops and talks in the month of December that SCALA will be participating and presenting in:
1) SME Workshop on Manpower Redeployment and Government Support Programmes
SCALA and the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) will be conducting a joint Workshop on Manpower Redeployment and Government Support Programmes on Friday, 20 December 2019.
This workshop is not restricted to just SME, individuals representing MNCs are also welcome! Entry is complimentary for registrants. The following programmes will be presented at the workshop:
(A) The P-Max Place-and-Train Programme aims to facilitate the entry of PMETs into suitable SME jobs. Upon completion of the programme, companies will receive a one-time Assistance Grant of $5,000. Companies applying under the P-Max track for Singapore Citizens PMETs aged ≥ 50 would be entitled to an additional $5,000 assistance grant capped at $10,000 per company.
(B) As part of the Adapt and Grow initiative to help Singapore Citizens adapt to changing job demands and enhance their employability, the enhanced Career Support Programme (CSP) offer support for eligible Singapore Citizen PMETs with salary support up to a cap of $42,000 for up to 18 months.
(C) The Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) which aims to help jobseekers reskill and acquire necessary knowledge and competencies to take on new jobs. Eligible companies will receive training grants and salary support of up to $18,000.

2) Masterclass Workplace and On-Job-Learning for Skills Transformation
Supply Chain And Logistics Academy (SCALA) in collaboration with Singapore National Employers’ Federation
(SNEF) warmly invites HR Managers, HR Business Partners, HR Directors and Business Owners to this 1-day Workplace and On-Job Learning for Skills Transformation clinic.
In this clinic session, conducted by Mr Thomas Yeo from CET Global, participants will explore the future of “work“ and understand its impact to existing and emerging skills on occupations and job roles.
Participants will also learn to interpret the Skills Framework for an industry and how to apply it in the workplace and on-the-job training. In addition, they will be guided on the approach to develop an effective workplace learning plan and explore technology applications that support workplace learning.
